The Explorers room is cosy and homely with its own free-flow outdoor play environment.
At Blue Bear we recognise the importance of maintaining the routine you have established with your child at home. We will spend time getting to know about your child’s likes, dislikes, feeding and sleep routine. We make time each day to feedback to you about your child’s day alongside a care diary which is provided on our online learning journey.
Within the Explorers room we offer a sensory play experience which enables your child to learn from first-hand experiences. Your child will have lots of opportunities to explore the fun activities set daily. The activities set out are planned around each child’s individual needs using the Early Years Foundation Stage. We work with staff ratios of 1:3 in line with current recommendations.
The staff take the babies and children out for walks within the local environment: – to the park, to the library where they join in with ‘Baby Bounce and Rhyme”, and shops as well as daily opportunities to play outside in our own dedicated baby play area. The Explorers have also additionally had a spacious ramp installed which allows them free flow access to the outdoor space.
Staff at Blue Bear understand how leaving your child for the first time can be a daunting experience. To support you, we offer a transition package that is tailor made for you and your baby. Settling in sessions are a great opportunity for you and your child to get to know us and become familiar with the nursery environment and for us to get to know you and your baby.
